Yes, for qualifying projects. E&H has mobile equipment that allows certain types of scrap to be processed directly on-site. Processing material before transportation can reduce its size or volume and allow available truck capacity to be used more efficiently.
Mobile shears are powerful hydraulic attachments designed to cut and process heavy steel and other metal. E&H has mobile shearing capabilities that can process heavy structural steel and I-beams, including material up to approximately 1½ inches thick, depending on the specific material and project conditions.
Mobile baling involves bringing specialized equipment directly to the project site to compress lighter scrap material into dense, manageable bales. This reduces the amount of space loose material occupies and can allow significantly more material to be transported in a single load.
In many situations, yes. Large or loosely packed scrap can take up considerable trailer space without maximizing the truck’s available payload. Downsizing heavy steel or baling lighter material can make loads more efficient, potentially reducing the number of trips required and the associated freight and transportation costs.
